Fabrizio Dusi born in 1974, his versatility and ability to represent various aspects of contemporaneity make Dusi a modern artist. His works are powerfully expressive and go right to the heart of the matter, depicting problems of communication in relationships, and those unsuccessful attempts. People try to communicate, but in actual fact they just create clouds of meaningless words because no one listens, is disinterested or inpatient (Parole al vento – words in the wind). These themes are acutely topical, created with the irony that facilitates their provocative bite and makes their message more direct. Although, Fabrizio Dusi has worked with many themes, this is the one that most identifies him. Thirty luminescent, electric BLA that form the American flag, the neon light that shines in the dark, looks like the sign of an East Side drugstore. Dusi plays with the luminous tube and rolls it up as if it were ceramics. In the annoying, maniacal rhythm of his blunt responses the seed of doubt is planted.
Dusi’s artworks are related to his ongoing theme of humans’ inability to communicate. With his more commonly used expressive techniques of ceramics, colored neon and “crowds” painted on large industrial tarps. The wall-mounted ceramic installation Listen To Me could be considered the artist’s manifesto. With a face depicted in outline, mouth wide open, emitting a vapor of elements that represent words spoken uselessly. It is a ferocious criticism to the excess of words hallmark of the present time, but it is made with a light hand in bright colors. The artist is already present in some important international collections including the Pérez Collection of Miami. One of his works (BlaBlaBla) is exhibited in the lobby of the Icon Bay building Edgewater, Miami and and at Beachwalk Resort by Pininfarina in Hallandale.
